Helping your teen thrive authentically!

Adolescent Programs

Our Approach

At Spectrum, our social groups are anything but traditional. We move beyond teaching scripted social skills and instead focus on supporting each individual in understanding themselves, connecting authentically with others, and building confidence in who they are authentically. We recognize that many autistic individuals have been taught to mask or change themselves to fit in. Our goal is to create a space where that isn’t required, and where genuine, comfortable connection can grow.

  • Authentic Me

Led by a speech-language pathologist, the goal of this group is to help neurodivergent participants better understand their unique communication style, and in turn be able to advocate for themselves and embrace their authentic selves. Group sessions provide a space for your teen to naturally develop friendships with those similar to them. Groups offered for children of varying ages.

  • Authentic Us

Led by a speech-language pathologist, the goal of this group is to help neurodivergent participants better understand healthy vs unhealthy relationships and in turn be able to advocate for their needs, set healthy boundaries, and develop trusting and authentic friendships. In addition, participants will learn strategies for reading social situations and learn how to overcome social problems without sacrificing self-determination or self-advocacy.

  • Advocacy for All

Led by a speech-language pathologist, the goal of this group is to empower neurodivergent participants to feel confident advocating for their needs, challenge systemic barriers, and promote equity and understanding. Together, we can foster environments where every mind is valued and celebrated.

  • Digital You

Led by a speech-language pathologist, this group is for autistic teens who want to stay safe, in control, and confident online. Together, we'll cover topics such as online boundaries, handling cyberbullying, privacy tips, and how to express ourselves in ways that feel authentic.

Spectrum Pathways

Autistic Teen Employment Group

Pathways focuses on helping autistic teens discover meaningful work that truly fits by understanding their strengths, interests, and support needs. Rather than trying to fit teens into traditional job expectations, we support them in exploring pathways that align with who they are.

This small-group experience blends self-discovery with practical skill-building. Participants will learn how to create resumes, prepare for interviews, and navigate workplace expectations, while also developing the confidence and language to advocate for the supports they need to succeed.

Because meaningful employment isn’t just about getting a job. It’s about finding the right fit, feeling supported, finding meaning, and being able to show up as yourself.
